Image Segmentation & Binarization
When you drop or paste an image, an in-memory canvas isolates letter strokes from the background using local thresholding. Each glyph is separated into an individual character contour.
16×16 Glyph Matrix Fingerprinting
Each segmented letter is normalized to a 16×16 spatial density matrix. This geometric fingerprint is compared against thousands of precomputed glyph signatures across the open-source font catalog in milliseconds.
Dual-Pass Reranking with Live Rendering
Because normalization alone can obscure subtle aspect ratios, our dual-pass engine loads top font candidates dynamically and renders your actual sample word to compare stroke thickness, x-height, and proportions before ranking the final matches.
